TECHNICAL COLLEGE
MEETING. OF PARENTS' ASSOCIATION.
A general meeting of the Parents' Association of the Wellington Technical College was held on Wednesday evening. Mr. W. Pascoe presided. I The chairman stated that at his instigation the chairman of the board called a meeting of parents in November last, and a committee was formed. One ot the principal objects of the association would be to give parents an opportunity of saying who would represent them on the Board of Governors. The parents were entitled to • three representatives, and it was only right that candidates should have an opportunity of placing their views before parents. Officers were elected as follow:—Chairman, Mr. W. Pascoe; vice-chairman, ]V[i;. T. Grinishaw; committee, Mesdames Dormer. A. K. .Tones, Orme, and Messrs 11..]!. Smith, Fisher, Outhwait, Battera,by, and Salt; secretary, Mr. A. Carr.
Mr. Salt gave, notice to move at the next meeting l-hat a representative of each district be added to the committee.
Steps.are to be taken with a view to leaving a day and evening set.aside to enable parents to visit the classrooms and Bee the work being done by students.
