The Shipping Board has adopted a resolution requesting the American delegates to the' International Chamber of Commerce at Brussels in June to' oppose any discussions aiming at a change in the American coastwise shipping laws so as to admit foreign vessels into the American coastwise trade. The resolution declared that the continuance and enforcement of the laws is essential to the- existence of the American; merchant marine, and for our national defence." It adds that discussion of the matter is not within the jurisdiction of the Brussels Conference.
