STRAND THEATRE.

Arthur Shirley, in "The Mystery of a Hansom Cab," from the thrilling and romantic novel by Fergus Hume, mil be finally screened at the Strand Theatre to-night. To-morrow Selznick Pictures's supreme offering, "Woman to Woman," with Betty Compson and Clive Brook, willbe the attraction. Those who have seen Miss Compson in the past remember her exquisite acting, but nothing she has ever done can compare with her delineation, in this picture. As for the story itself, it is brimming with appeal. A little French girl, Louise Boucher, dances her way into the heart, and when she becomes a great artist, she not only retains but increases her grip upon the affections. The leading male role is played by Clive Brook. The supports are excellent, including comedy and the latest gazette.
