" Hautana " asserts that Lower Hutt people have not asked for the Hult railway deviation, and do not want it, aud in flkars to come will no doubt/ regretits ever being built. The correspondent holds that a fine fleet of motor-buses and miles of good roads could be obtained for one-fifth of the cost of the proposed deviation, and that the proposal calls for further investigation.
