ISLAND BAY EMPIRE THEATRE.
A great picture is the term used by many of the patrons of the city theatres who saw "Smouldering Fires" recently. It is showing to-night for the last time at the Empire' Theatre, Island Bay. This is the- picture which Pauline Frederick in her letter to the New Zealand public/ has described as. her greatest effort. The cast is a. notable one generally, and the story is described as one of great heart interest;
