CHRISTCHTJRCH, This Day. A sensational accident occurred on Clifton Hill, Simmer, yesterday, when a three-seater car driven by J. Reid refused to ; answer the brake, and burst through a. fence and slid over the cliff. Just when the car was a few yards off a sheer drop of two hundred feet Reid grabbed the wheel and slewed it .into some macrocarpa trees, where it stopped undamaged. .
