A MYSTERIOUS EXPORT
LONDON, 2nd 3l av City finarcial experts are puzzled over the destination of yesterday's gold shipments, which has not been announced. Iho "Daily Telegraph's" financial expert says that yesterday's gold movement from the Bank of Fno-h,,d of £414,000 was offset by a small purchase of bars valued at £10,000. Rumour associated Australia with one of the purchases. It is true ,'L pays (n scud gold to Australia, bul Mine was sor.lp doubt-in the .niarkvt whether .Australian banks had yet inlcivoned. Tliore is no doubt, however, that a small amount went to New York, with further shipments to Holland and Switzerland.
