LONDON, Ist May. .Sir John Bradbury, speaking at Manchester, said there was no doubt . whatever France could make a considerable contribution towards the payment of her debt to Britain and France had production in excess of consumption far greater than any other nation a Europe. France, however, pleaded, vpth a certain amount of reason, that there were moral considerations which should induce her creditors to treat her favourably;;. It was possible that if we put our demands too high France would ;nnd : repudiation 'would suit her better than an attempt to meet her obligations. °
