The annual meeting of the New Zealand Rugby. Union last evening decided to send a special vote of thanks by cable to .Mr. C. Wray/the New. Zealand representative in England, for all that he .had done in connection with the tour of the All Black's. ' .
Mr. Harry N. Holmes, who, during his term of office as general secretary of Wellington V.M.C.A., was responsible for the erection of the building in Willis street, arrived from Asutralia per TJli-maro'a-on Wednesday, after a visit to his aged father in Adelaide. During his visit to Wellington he will speak at a New Zealand Club luncheon, of which he was the founder. ■
The death occurred at Nelson on Wednesday evening of Mr. A. J, Redgrave an old resident of that city. His son. the Rev. F. B. Redgrave, of Wellington, is at present on a visit to Pacific Island mission stations by the mission steamer Southern Cross.
