POWER BOARD PROPOSAL
CARRIED.
Voting took place yesterday upon the proposal of the Hutt Valley Power Board for the raising of a loan of £40,000 for th» purpose of extending its services to the Johnsonrille Town Board district and the Porirua riding of the • Makara County, so making Mangahao power available to those districts. The result was almost unanimously in favour of the proposal, the voting being :—For the proposal 308 votes, ""-against 8, informal 3. The decision of the ratepayers means that as soon as the formal sanction: of the Government has been obtained the work of extending the services may be proceeded with by the Power Board
