MELBOURNE HIDES MARKET.
(Received 10th January, .2 p.m.) : .MELHOUKXE, This Day. At the market for hides prices were buoyant. and competition keen, notably for lislit weights and kips, which advanced a farthing.
The regular meeting of the Loyal Newtown Lodge, Independent Order of Oddfellows, Manchester Unity, was held on Monday, N.G. Bro. Dumbleton presiding. Amongst the visitors were Bro. G. ,W. Craddock, of Loyal Westport Lodge, and Bro. F. Taylor, P. 0., of Loyal Napier Lodge. The N.G. suitably welcomed them to the lodge. At the close o£ the meeting the cards were brought out and the members spent a happy hour in friendly games.
