REGATTA CLUB
THE CHAMPIONSHIPS.
The annual meeting of the Wellington Regatta Club was held last evening. Mr. A. -W. Newton presiding. The report and balance-sheet, particulars of which have been published in "The Post," were adopted. The election of officers for'the ensuing year resulted:—Patron, Right Hon. Sir- J. G-, Ward ; president, Mr. F W. Mothes; the existing vice-presidents were re-elected; secretary, Mr. L O'Donnell• :treasurer, Mr. G. P. Jacques; auditors, Messrs. J. p. D. Jphnsen and G. W. Thorn,- committee; Messrs. A Whitaker, D. M'Grath, E. G. Dobson, L.. Drummond, W. Fraser, C. J. Symonds, J. -M'Laughlan, P: Hereford, R N. Wakelin, T. Slinn. - " It was decided to support the application for the allocation of the championship regatta at Lake * Horowhenua It was suggested that the regatta be held ,as early in Februaty as possible. After discussion it was resolved that the Wellington regatta be held on the1 Saturday following the > championshin regatta. .
