Tho writer would suggest that clergy should recognise the fact that only reasonable people can live happily together; that there are many couples who should never have been encouniged by the Church to have children. Yet these marriages are blessed by the officiating priest. Is it not time the Church inquired into family histories and made .some attempt to encourage only healthy reproductive marriages in the interest of the children?—l am, etc., EUGENIST. 22nd October.
