DELHI, 22nd October.
A rebellion in Afghanistan, led by a pretender to the ■Amir's throne, has been crushed, after heavy fighting, by Government troops, who have burned many villages, and taken other punitive measures. The pretender is in refuge with a friendly tribe. The casualty list throughout the operations has been extremely heavy on both sides, as, in all tribal warfare, no quarter was shown.
