"IN A ROMAN COURT."
In the dance-play, "In a Roman Court," to be presented by Miss Kathleen O'Brien, at the Grand Opera House on Saturday night, there is scope for very dramatic acting and beautiful dancing. The cast includes Miss Kathleen O'Brien, Mr. Lionel Inch, Mr. Norman Aitkeu, Miss Eileen O'Brien, and Mr. Joseph Elliot. A feature of this scene will be a Roman war dance by Mies Kathleen O'Brien. The Irish sccna, "Donnybroqk Faff," in which are some charming songs, old-Irish jigs, and reels, should t>e very popular. Clever acrobatic dancing by Columbine (Hazel Martin), and Harlequin (Peggy Howatt), and an amusing eccentric dance, i "The Johnny," by Ruby Fisher, are also on the programme. The Ballet Charrueuse, the American step dance ballet, a grotesque Chinese dance by Frances Chshy, two clever solos, "Russian TrerXik" and a toe eolo by Beryl Ward, and a sailor's hornpipe by Majorie Vanse, promise to be interesting. , Those interested in ballroom dancing, should enjoy the exhibition dancing of Miss Eveleen O'Brien and Mr. Purvis. Other scenes will be "The Church Round the Corner," and "The Enchanted Forest." The "Ten Minutes' Peep at the Babies" will give the tiny tots a chance to show what- they can do. Beautiful frocks and' scenery and brilliant lighting effects will help to make "In a Roman Court" a very charming production.
