LONDON, 21st October. Joe Childs has been appointed the King's jockey for the 1925 racing season.

During the 1923 . season Childs had 334 mounts, during- which he was 41 times placed first, 34 times second, 37 thirds. He was sixteenth last year in the order of winning mounts, .C. Elliott and S. Donoghue being at the* top with 89 wins each, and R. A. Jones second with 83. In the order of winning percentages B. . Carslake headed the list with 22.13, Childs. being-placed fifteenth with 12.27. This season lie has been riding for many prominent .owners, including the- de Rothschild's and Lady Nunburnholme.
