• Their Excellencies, Lord and Lady "Jellicoe and party, returned to Wellington by the Maori from the South this, morning.
His Excellency the Governor-General was entertained at luncheon by the members of the Legislature to-day.
A Press Association cable from Sydney to-day notifies the death of Mr. George Kingsley, aged eighty-one, at one time Chief Ranger of the New Zealand Independent Order of Foresters.
The majority of the Southern city and borough council delegates attending the annual Municipal Association Conference at Auckland, which opens to-morrow, passed through Wellington to-day. The Wellington delegates are Councillors J. Burns and W. H. Bennett.
Mr. J. H. Lynskey, of the Eketahuna District High School, has resigned in order to accept a position at the Taumarunui High School, and at today's meeting of the Education Board a motion congratulating Mr. Lynskey on his promotion was carried. - Mr". Lynskey was for some years stationed at Petone.
