An appeal for Liberal support and a Vigorous attack on the Conservatives •were made by Mr. Mac Donald in . a .-.; ipeech at the Hippodrome, Sheffield, ■where he Lad an enthusiastic reception from an audience of over four thousand. Many others were unable to gain admission.. Queues formed outside at 6 o'clock in the morning. . . The Premier declared that the campaign was to him like a whiff of victory, but.a'g"rim struggls lay ahead next week. His opponents would not leave any , stone unturned to damage Labour, because Labour had been too successful in caring for: the interests of the country at Home and abroad. If 1 there'was any danger from extremism in Britain, it would come when an incompetent Tory Government was in office. ; i '' •;
The Premier, appealing for Liberal support, claimed that Labour had ,the Liberal spirit widened, broadened, and heightened. \ :\\
