„ 110n Company's trans-Pacific steamer waiotapu arrived at San Francisco on Saturday hist from Vancouver to complete loading for Sew Zealand and Australian ports. The vessel is expected to clear San Francisco today.

NOTICES TO MARINERS..

The Wanganui Harbour Board ■ notify that in future the undermentioned special bar signals for lighters being towed when proceeding to or from vessels working cargo in the roadstead will be exhibited when the bar or entrance is dangerous:—(a) Between sunrise and sunset: One black ball hoisted on the north yard-arm at the flagstaff, (b} Between sunset and sunrise:. Two green lights, vertically disposed 6ft apart, shown seawards from the front bar-beacon.

On and after the Ist of November, 1924, the undermentioned signal lights will be exhibited from the flagstaff at Karamea River when a vessel is observed approaching the river entrance:—Bar safe for 7ft, white over green; bar safe for Oft, green over white; bar dangerous, white over red; wait, one white light. For outward-bound vessels only; Proceed to sc», red over \siiite. Vessels must not enter or leave unless signals for such purposes are exhibited, notwithstanding that the leading lights may be visible.

ALLARA AT AUCKLAND.

The C. and D. Line's chartered steamer Allara arrived at Auckland yesterday afternoon cargo laden from New York. After part discharge at Auckland tho vessel proceeds to Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin to complete. Sho is due here on Sunday evening.

THE MAIMOA

The Maimoa is to leave Wellington to-night for Wanganui and- Auckland to complete loading, and is to 'sail from the latter port on 11th October for London, via Teneriffe

LOADING FOR AMERICA.

The Msmari leaves Wanganui this evening for Napier and Auckland. She will complete loading at Auckland, and will sail from there on 11th October for London, via New York aud Boston. ,

The Moeraki left Melbourne yesterday afternoon for Bluff, where she is due on Sunday. She wilt leave ou Monday for Dunedin, Lyttelton, and Wellington, and is due here on Thursday next, sailing on the- following day for Melbourne direct.
