A meeting of the Wellington • Citizens War Memorial -i! mmittee'was held last" evening, there' being present Mr. J. .P. . Firth"':(chairman), Mrs. Morice, M:-s M'Huf'h" 1; Mrs. Murphy, 0.8. E., Mrs. W. A ' Parton, Messrs. W. Hardham, W. J a Pascoe, Colouel Mitchell; E. E. Muir " J Myers, W. S. .Wilson, D.E.Du E tin' H. Marshall (oi-ganiser), and Major Wat-" son (secretary). ■ .' ' '. ' Encouraging/reports of Hh& canvass were received from Lyall. Bay, ' Kcl- * burn, and Hataitai, while good reports were expected from Wadestown. Mrs. Morice, reporting on behalf of the Ladies' Committee, said that the arrangements in connection with Rose Day (Armistice Day) were well in hand. Some thousands of roses had been made, and i street stands and motor-cars had been arranged' for. The peop]e of Nelson had promised to send supplier of roses, -which would be carried by the Anchor Shipping Company. Mr. Dustin undertook to arrange for the supply of. refreshments for the lady•' workers on Bose Day. '":'" "
