SELWYN CLUB,

The Selwyn Amateur Athletic Club held its annual meeting on Monday ev«nmg, Mr. S. Wogan presiding over an attendance of.about forty members. The first annual report and the bal-ance-sheet, details of which have been published in " The Post," were adopted. Officers for the ensuing year were elected as follow:—President, Mr. H. Rose; olub captain, Mr. S. Wogan; hon. secretary, Mr. H. Sergeant; hon. treasurer, Mr. J. Ottaway; management committee, Messrs. H. Kent, D. Flannery, G. S. Bright, H. Malm, A. Grigg, J. Blakeway ; delegates to the centre, Messrs. A. Grigg and L. A. Tracy; hon. auditor, Mr. J. p. 0. Johnsen; starter, Mr. T. W. ("Dorrie") Leslie; handicappers, Messrs. A. C. Kitto, L. A. Tracy, T. Oates. Nine vice-presidents were added to the existing list, and several new members were elected. The incoming committee was recommended to submit the following motion to the Wellington Centre:—" That th« Wellington1 Centre bs requested to arrange for an interview with the Reserves Committee of the City Council in an endeavour to obtain, a reduction in the fees charged for evening training on the city reserves, and that the suggested fees be the same as those charged to clubs in the 1922-23 season, or no higher than a shilling per member for {he season.1 It was further decided to support a recommendation that the centre assume the financial responsibility of all_ evening meetings; . and that points gained in cycle events be calculated for the Dewar Shield, on the same .basis as field events.

A trophy donated by Mr. H. Rose was presented to A. Grigg, who had gained most points for the club in sprint events at evening meetings.
