OLD NAVALS RIFLE CLUB

Tho annual meeting of the Wellington Old Navals Defence Rifle Club was held last evening. The president (Mir. G. F. r-ranklin) presided over an attendance of 25 members. The balance sheet showed that tho club was in a healthy financial position. Tho following officers wbi-o elected for the coming year :— Patron, Captain E. D. Bell; vice-patrons, all last year's members wero ro-elected; president, Mr. F. E. Franklin (re-elect-ed); deputy-presidents, Messrs. J. Alexander and W. M'Bain; hbn. secretary, Mr. R. Bishop j'hon. treasurer, Mr. J. Alexander; -hon. auditor, Mr. A. Guise; management committee, Messrs. Lawton P. B. Goldfinch, R. Chapman, C. M'Guire, F. Renton; handicappers, Messrs F. Standidgo, P. B. Goldfinch, and W. M'Bain; delegates to the Wellington Rifle Association, President E. F. Franklin and Deputy-president W. M'Bain; selection committee, Messrs. Standidge, Goldfinch, and M'Bain; social committee, Messrs. C. M'Donald, F. Standidge, C. Lawton, J. Alexander, R. Pringle, W. Harris, R. Bishop, J. Pitt, and P. Barcham.

The season opens next Saturday with a practice shoot and a teams' match between the president and deputy-presi-dent.
