SAILORS' FRIEND SOCIETY.
The bi-weekly concert at the Sailors' Friend Society last evening was given by Mrs. D. Binuie, who was most successful. The performers were: Mesdames O'Sullivan, J. Patterson, D. Binnie, Gilmer, Misses J. Binnie, Bell, Feist, and Messrs. O'Sullivan, Cleary, Lang, Webb, and Colson. Misses Bell and Gervaise were at the piano. "No Respecter of Persons" was the subject chosen by Mr. Moore, missioner, for his temperance chat, and again members were enrolled on the pledge books. The competitions were most successful, the prizes coming from the Victoria League and Mrs. Smith, and going to the Maimoa and Manuka.
