HEMP SITUATION.

Com, m' ssi°ner, cabling, London. 2.th September, informs the Department of Agriculture on the hemp market as follows-— .Manila market strong and values have advanced further in absence of sellers 'J' grade, September-December shipments, sold at beginning of week for £50 10s, at the end for £53.10s and value. Xew Zealand market firm, high points December-November shipment, sold £42 10s'; fair, £40 10s, and buyers." The New Zealand loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, has received the following .cablegram from its London house under date 27th instant:—"Wool Sales :Since sales opened market has advanced Hcrino now 10 per cent, to 15 per cent., crossbred 15 per cent, to 20 per cent., above July"
