THE HAWK GOES TO MELBOURNE
SYDNEY, 29th September. The Hawk left for Melbourne to-night to fulfil his engagements there, including the October Stakes, the Caulfield Stakes, and the Caulfield Cup. This means he will not fill his Randwick engagements in the Spring Stakes and the Craven Plate. His previous successes in Melbourne, where the left-hand running is apparently to his liking, no' doubt furnish the reason for his being sent South.
