MILD AND HAZY
Conditions during tho past two or three days have been quite pleasant locally, although to the Director of tho Meteorological Offico they have appeared as favourable to the development of a sub-tropical disturbance northward of JNew Zealand. ' Showery weather and seas, considerable to heavy, were reported this morning on the East Coast between Cape Maria van Dieman and East Cape, and moderate to strong north-easterly winds wero in evidence. Dull and hazy skies are prevalent over the Dominion, and barometric pressure is above normal everywhere. The forecast is for mild and hazy conditions generally, with scattered showers, especially in tho northern districts where tho barometer is likely to show availing ten-' dency. Little movement in the barometer is anticipated elsewhere. Easterly breezes are forecasted in the North, and northerlies elsewhere.
