OBITUARY
' REV. DR. CATCHPOLE. The death occurred in a private hospital in Wellington, early on Sunday morning, of the Rev. Dr. David Catchpole, minister in charge of the Baptist Church at Berhampore. Deceased had been in Now Zealand about three years, and had been in tho Berhampore district for the whole of the time. Ho was very highly esteemed for his piety and evangelistic fervour, and ho will be greatly missed, not only by the people of his own church, but in the whole community. He took a, keen- interest in educational matters, and was elected a member of the committeo of tho Berhampore School, and then chairman of the com•mittee. The lato gentleman was Canadian born, and was educated at tho M'Master University in Montreal. Prior to coming to New Zealand he served Baptist churches in Canada and California, and took his Degree af Divinity. He was a prominent Oddfellow, and a member of tho Orange Lodge.
