ADACHI LIKELY TO GIVE WAY
(Received 29th September, noon.) . GENEVA, 28th September. Baron Adachi said there was a gap in tha Covenant, and it was their duty to fill it up. He hoped therefore thai the committee -would "agree to his amendment, which was the result of long and careful reflection. Finally Baron Adachi withdrew the amendment, under express reservations on the whole of the protocol. The point is not yet completely' cleared up. Baron Adachi has not yet made up ..his mind,' but will probably finally give way.
