GANDHI'S FAST
CAUSES UNIVERSAL DAY OF MOUBNING. (UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION.—COPTBIOHT.) (AUSTRAUAK-NEW ZEALAND CABLE ASSOCIATION.) DELHI, 26th September. Gundhi, now in the ninth day of his fast, is medically reported to be Weak and unable to srt up. To-day was observed as a day of mourning throughout India, and all Hindus and Mohammedans joined in a fast in sympathy. The result has been that markets and shops aro closed, and the European population is experiencing difficulty ,-iv purchasing food
