TAINTJI SAILS TOE AUCKLAND.

Cable news received by the Shaw-Savill Cqrapany advises that the Tainui sailed from Southampton on Friday last for Auckland, Napier, and Dunedin. The vessel, which is bringing passengers and cargo, is due at Auckland on 3rd November.

STORM EENAMED EIPA,

The Canterbury Steamship Company's wellknown" steamer Storm has been renamed the Eipa. The company's new steamer Eiver Wear, which.is expected to reach New Zealand about the middle olf November, from Home, -will be rechristened the Storm,

MAINDY MANOR WITH FERTILISER.

The tramp steamer Maindy Manor is at .present at Lyttelton discharging Ephos fertiliser from Safaga Bay (Eed Sea), via Colombo, Albany, Newcastle, Bluff, and Dunedin, under the auspices of Messrs.Murray, Eoberts, and Co. Captain P. H. Manley is in command. The vessel will later come up to Wellington to complete discharge, and will afterwards proceed to Newcastle.

I • The Awahou sails to-morrow for. the East | Coast, and is due back on Sunday. The Invercargill sails to-day for Wanganui, and returns here on /Wednesday. The fiuru Is expected on Wednesday from Napier to load for the East Coast.
