PAREMATA BOATING CLUB

The first annual, meeting of the Paren.ata Boating Club was held at Paremata recently. - There was a lava attendance, and Mr. J. H. Kinniburgh occupied the chair. • The. annual., r.eport and balance-sheet showed that theclub's position .was'good,.although-.it had been m existence for only seven months. It had made great progress, which was mainly duo to. the interest shown by members and residents. The coming season s outlook was most.promising.' Several new boats Mould be competing, both in motor-boat and sailing events. Mr V Bradey,. of Buy View,., Paremata, had piesented two beautiful' shields for annual competition between motor and sailing boats, and this, with the Hansford and Moorhouse Cups, and the ocean i-eco for the Trevor Cup, would, give tho contestants plenty of racing. The- club desired to thank all'those who had "donated trophies during the past season, snd also the many ladies who had help-, ed the club with its dances, etc. Officers for the.coming season-were elected as follow:—Patron, Mr..
