ATTEMPTED BURGLARIES
Burglars forced an entrance to the factory of Messrs. Schneideman and Sons, Ltd., Cable street, on Friday evening, but evidently they were disturbed in theirwork, for they decamped without having secured anything in tho wav of booty. Three rolls of tweed, worth about £200, Bad been stacked ready for removal, but apart from the damage done to a window and several doors which had been forced, no loss was sustained by the owners of tho premises. An attempt also was made by burglars on Friday evening to force the safe of the Queen's Picture Theatre in Cuba street. After having removed several portions of the safe, however, the intruders did not proceed with their work and no serious damage was done.
