SUICIDE OF A WITNESS

Evelyn White, lecturer at Leeds University, and a well-known Egyption archaeologist, committed suicide in a taocicab at Leeds while proceeding to an inquest on Miss Helen Nind, a music teacher, to which he had been subpoenaed. The inquest disclosed that Miss Nind had poisoned herself with carbolic acid. Correspondence between White and Miss Nind was proeduced at the inquest.
