LODGE MEETINGS
The monthly meeting of Wellington District Lodge, No. 5, 1.0.0. F., N.Z., was held last week, the District Deputy Grand Master (Bro. H. Davies, IJ.G.)1 J.G.) presiding. In addition to regular business, seventeen members of the Order eligible were advanced to. third degree rank. It was also decided .to make official .visits to Cleveland Lodge,-.-No.. 13. Esther Rebekah, Lodge, No. 30, and Victoria Lodge, No. 2, during the month. Several remits were approved for consideration at uexfc Grand Lodge session. Opportunity was taken during the evening of presenting Bro. J. Edwards D.D.G.M.,- for 1921-23 term, with a Past D.D.G.M. jewel suitably inscribed. "Hie presentatioriHvas made by the D.D.G.M. (Bro. H. Davies, P.G.), on behalf of District Lodge, and who stressed the good, work done by Bro. Edwards, and the progress of the Order locally (Turing his term of office. Bro. Edwards responded, paying tribute to the loyal support given him by the executive officers and other members of the several male and Rebekah" lodges of the district.
The Kilbirnie Juvenile Rechabites, at their meeting, entertained the adult members. The juveniles, with the superintendent, Sister Johnston, had tasteiully decorated the platform. Master .Harold Johnston, the . juvenile chief, briefly extended a welcome, and then led the Rechabite fire, and the juveniles s-ang their ode. The following rendered musical items: —Charlie Sherlaw, Gordon Johnston, Sister W. Badger, and boys. Sisters D. and H. Gregory, Sister W. Badger and Bro. R. Phillips, Sister G. Gregory and Bro.'S. Ridley, Sisters R, and J; Tritt, D. Gregory, F. Urwjn, I. Westrupp. M. Mason, B. M'Millan, and Bros. H. Johnston, G. Phillips. W. .Westrupp, and C. Thompson..
