TO-DAY'S BUSINESS
To-day is likely to be another busy one in the House of Representatives. The Laud/Bill, which is really a consolidating measure, and in charge of the. Horn A. ( D. M'Lepd, is down for second reading to-night, and this - may lead to a flood of talk, ( although ; members spent a whole afternoon last week reviving old" arguments on the land question. Should the second reading of this Bill go through quickly, the Minister of Justice (Mr. Parr) will next move the second reading of the Prevention of Crime (Borstal Institutions' Establishment) Bill.. The Motor Vehicles Bill (Mr. Bollard) is third on the list for second reading to-night. It is hoped that it will be possible to take the second reading of the Motor Vehicles Bill'very soon; as the Government is anxious-that the special committee which is to.hear evidence from the local bodies, and other bodies interested shall commence its labors next week
