". _.. -LONDON, Bth September. '-Engineers have discovered a new coalfield in South-East Yorkshire. Sinkings struck a continuation of the famous Barnsley seam, the .richest in England, eight miles eastward of the supposed limit. The new seam is.iiye'feeVittiick it is believed it extends eastward to Uoole, and. then 65 miles under the North Sea. It; is estimated that the new field contains 23,000 million tons of coal, sufficient for 400 years.
