LONDON, Bth September: With Prince Arthur of Connaught presiding, tile pageant master, Mr. Frank Lascellea, was banqueted by the committee of the pageant' and the performers chiefly Australian- and New Zealand.
Pnnce Arthur described the pageant as worthy of the Empire. He referred to tU) achievement of Mr. Lasoelles in Canada, South Africa, and India, and paid a tribute to the 15,000 voluntary performers who had "braved the rigours oi the British summer.'' • ■
Mr. Lascellas emphasised the educational value of ■ the pageant and its stimulating" interest in the.Empire news and communication.
Mr. Lunn, of the Overseas Trade Department, . also dwelt on the enormous educational value of the pageant, which he described as a wonderful achieveil"3l^ i"1 Empire history. He added that theLabaur Party was developing an Imperial policy' which would strengthen the bonds of Empire more than anything else hitherto had done:
