LOAN PROPOSALS

,: . •'. .;•,. NELSON,; Ist; August. According to notice of motion Councillor Moffatt, at the City Council meeting, moved that the loaa' proposals be piaced before the ratepayers in five issues, as under:-— "-..-
(1) Improvements of streets . and bridges, quarry extension, drainage oxtension (including conversion of steampumping plant into electric), improvements to pipe line and other, works at' I.w waterworks dam, and improvements to ( the cemetery and abattoir, £33,600. [2) Freshwater swimming baths, "£8750! (5) Ke-erection,of saltwater baths at the Port, £1250. (4) General improvements to parks and. reserves, including ■ purchase of tools and plant and purchase of In nd in Hastings-street from Horton's Estate, £3100.
