CITY'S WAR MEMORIAL
9 DRIVE FOR THE FINAL TEN THOUSAND.
In connection with the Wellington "War Memorial Committee's "drive" for the last £10,000 of the £25,000 required for ,thY, city's-, tribute to the 1,700 .Wellington men who gave flheir lives in the Great War, the ladies of Wellington are asked to meet the chairman (Mr: J. 1?. Firth) and members of the committee in the Council Chamber, Town Hall, at 3 o'clock to-morrow afternoon.
Returned soldiers are -,' interesting/ themselves1 in the 'committee's. eiTort, and a meeting will be : held at the R.S.A. Club on. Friday evening to discuss the matter. "■'. The meeting- will be open to all returned soldiers, whether active members of the R;S.A. or not. ' ■■ ' .
, To .perfect arrangements for the " cooperation of the various district ratepayers' associations the Citizens' War ( Memorial Committee will meet the members of. the Civ'io -League to-morrow evening.: ' v.- .-■'... .'•■'■..,
