ANNUAL MEETING.

_ The annual meeting of the congregation of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Wellington terrace, "was held last evening, the Eev. S. Robertson" Orr presiding. Reviewing the work of.' the year,, the Rev. Mr.. Ore expressed His. deep gratification at the excellent state of the various activities connected with.-- the church,, as shown in the report of the managers (published'in "The" Post"" last evening). On behalf of the congregation, the minister "thanked the large band of energetic workers who had rendered such valuable service during the past year. . ' '. " '.. . . The work of the Sunday school was outlined by the Rev. J. Beid, B.A. Mr.. J. A. Thomson, in moving the adoption of the session report, drew attention to-the-fact that this was the 84th year of St. Andrew's Church's existence. It was, he said, the first Presbyterian church to be permanently established in Wellington. An appeal was made for any old records that would assist in accurately completing the church's history On behalf of the Board of Managers, it was stated that the minister had asked for nine months' leave of absence to enable him to visit England and. America. An. exchange of ministers would be arranged for that period, so that Mr. Orr's leave would really amount to a temporary oxchango of ministers".'' During tlio discussion which followed, a number of speakers alluded to the untiring devotion to tho work of J.he church by Mr. and Mrs. Orr, aijd the motion granting leave -was agreed to without dissent. Musical items' were contributed by Misses Standidge and L. Marquant, Mr. Oakley, and the choir.
