A NEW ZEALAND EIGHT
INVITATION FROM AUSTRALIA.
For several seasons past the New Zealand Amateur Rowing Association has been endeavouring to bring about contests with Australia, but until recently the negotiations were not vcrv successful. However, the New Zealand Association has now received an invitation fi-ft^ the New South Wales Association for a New Zealand eight to compete at Australian regattas in March or April next.
The invitation has been considered by the New Zealand Council, and it has been decided to write to the local associations to ascertain what assistance can be given towards the expenses of such a visit, ami also write New South Wales for further information in regard to dates. °
