IN GREAT FORM
BRITISH DEFEATS NEW SOUTH
WALES.
(DNITED PBESS ASSOCIATION.—COPIMdIIT.)
SYDNEY, 21st June.
In the' English Rugby League team's third match against New South Wales, the 25,000 spectators saw the ignominious defeat of the home team by 43 points to 5. The Britishers were in great form, and made the pace' merry from the jump, quite'outclassing, their opponents in "all departments. In the first half they :rattled- up 17 points to nil, and in the second spell, though playing twelve! men only, one having retired injured, the visitors continued to pile on points, although New; South Wales managed to score a couple of times. . . ■ . ■ .
The wonderful improvement in the British team's play compared with its display in the previous match against New South Wales came as a surprise, and- bodes well for the Test match against Australia to-morrow.
