NELLIE BRAMLEY SEASON.

That most popular actress, Miss Nellie Bramley, will be seen in a new phase of her art when she makes her appearance at the Grand Opera House next Saturday.. Hitherto she has always taken emotional roles in deeply dramatic plays, her talent in this direction being widely recognised. This time Wellington theatregoers will be able to discuss, her qualities as a comedienne, for in "Fair and Warmer," the opening piece, she has a rich comedy part to which she gives full emphasis without ever straining the part. This delightful comedy is of the ultra-modern type, with flashes of wit blended with breezy action, and keeps the audience stimulated all through with its refreshing humour. The company is at present enjoying a highly successful season in Auckland, and is due to leave for the south next Friday, arriving in Wellington for the commencement of the season on Saturday. The box plans for the first six nights open at The Bristol on Wednesday at 9 o'clock.
