WAIKATO SEAT
SEEKING REFORM PARTY'S
ENDORSEMENT.

TE AWAMTJTU, This Day. Interest in the selection of Reform candidates for the Waikato seat for next election is growing. A conference of branch delegates on 2nd July at Te Awamutu will make the final selection. Aspirants already announced for selection are Mr. A. C. Dent, Kawhia; Mr. J. T. Jolmson, Te Awamutu; Mr. D. Stewart. Reid, Ngahinapouri. Mr Dent and Mr. Johnson both contested the seat at the last General Election. Mr Reid is chairman of the Waipa County' Council. Other probables are Mr. "Mervyn Wells, Cambridge, and Major Samuel lirau The present member, Mr. Frederick Lye, will definitely seek re-election in the Liberal interests. There is no indication so far whether there will be a Labour candidate.
