Yon- keen interest was taken yesterday in the poll on the borough loan 'proposals to raise £37,900 for gravitation water supply and £13,535 for bitumen streets. Both proposals, which had been turned down by narrow majorities in April hist, wove yesterday carried. The vi>timc was: Vvv water, I'ur 244. against 207; I'm- streols. lor 243. against 205.
