The Metagama's stokehold is reported to bo full of water.

The Clara Camus was badly damaged. The Metagama was bound from England to Montreal.

Both vessels headed for St. John's, but owing to the water gaining on the pumps tuie captain of the Metagama was forced to beach her on a shoal. ,
