(PU2LISHED I.N THE TIIIES.) (Received 21st June, 11 a.m.)
PARIS, 20th June.
There was an uproar in the Chamber of Deputies last night, and the sitting was twice suspended. . The first suspension was caused by a battle of expletives between members of the Right and the Left, and the second by a fight which began between Socialists and Communists at midnight. Socialists assaulted a Communist deputy who had declared that the Socialists were traitors to tho working classes because they supported the Government. The Communists rushed to the support of their colleague, and a melee ensued. The Communist Deputy Marty stood on a, bench and directed the operations, whirling a belt round his head. The Radicals were aghast, and the Right and Centre cheered ironically.
