BOXING
For the amateur championship tournament, commencing at the Town Hall on Monday next, ft total of sixty entries have been received, and this number has never previously been reached in the history of the association, In addition to this number, a large number of competitors , from other districts were anxious to compete at Wellington, but the local officials had to refuse these. Already it appears likely that considerable difficulty will be experienced in getting through in the two nights, and whatever tho standard of the contests may be there should be no lack of quantity and variety, Popular prices of admission are being charged, and there is every indication of a large attendance each evening,
