A PLEASANT EVENING
To further the candidature of the Lyall Bay Queen candidate (Princess May) in connection with the Miramar. Parochial Queen Carnival, a pleasant, afternoon was spent on Wednesday in the Anglican Church Hall, when a baby show . waa held. There was a large number present, and Mrs. M'Vicar, w;ho judged, awarded prizes as follow: —'Girl and boy under 6 months, Hazel Lukin and William Douglas'; under 12 months, Vera Boyd and Billy Dunbar; first and special under 18 months, Freda Davis and Colin Newport; under 2 years, Mavis Barke and Nancy Pinckney (equal), and Pearl Edser; under 2i years, Patsy Maddock (first and special) and Bryant Pierard; under 3 years, Amelia Quin, Sydney Roxburgh; special prizes were awarded by Glaxo Co. for best Glaxo girl and boy, and were won by Patsy Maddock and Bryant Pierard.
