STARVED TO DEATH
WEALTHY WOMAN'S SAD END,

CHRISTCHURCH, 20th June. When Sergeant M'Kerizio, of Sydenhatn, visited 33, Montreal street, yesterday, where a storekeeper had found the dead body of a 70-year-old widow, named Mrs. Elizabeth Hunsley, he found a filthy and untidy house, and the only food he could' discover was a dirty crust of bread and somo butter. He also found almost £10 in cash and a bank-book showing a credit of about £1200.
At tho inquest hold to-day, before Mr. Widdowson, S.M., Coroner, a verdict was returned that the woman had been found dead, the cause of death being heart failure, following exhaustion, u4 acealeraisd b± ataryajioaj.
